Bambu Lab Smooth PEI Plate – High-Adhesion Build Surface for X1 / P1 / A1 / H2 Series
The Bambu Lab Smooth PEI Plate is a premium build surface offering excellent first-layer adhesion and a smooth, matte finish on the bottom of your prints. The smooth PEI coating provides superior bed adhesion for PLA without requiring adhesives.
Designed for Bambu Lab printers, this build plate delivers consistent results with easy print removal once the bed cools. Select the correct plate size for your specific printer model.
When to Replace
- Poor First-Layer Adhesion – Prints detach or warp during printing despite correct bed temperature and clean surface
- Worn or Peeling PEI Coating – Visible scratches, gouges, or areas where the PEI layer has peeled away from the steel base
- Uneven Surface – Warped or dented plate causing inconsistent first layers across the build area
- Persistent Residue – Surface contamination that cannot be removed with IPA or soap, causing adhesion problems
- Coating Delamination – PEI sheet separating from the spring steel, creating bubbles or lifted edges
Important Usage Note
| For filaments other than PLA, apply glue to prevent the sheet from tearing when removing prints. The smooth PEI surface has very strong adhesion – using glue as a release agent protects the coating from damage. |
