eSUN TPE 83A (eLastic) is an ultra-flexible thermoplastic elastomer with a Shore hardness of
83A, making it significantly softer than standard TPU materials. This rubber-like filament offers exceptional
elasticity with 420% elongation at break, perfect for applications requiring extreme flexibility, soft touch,
and impact absorption. The material feels similar to soft shoe soles or rubber seals.

Ideal for gaskets, seals, phone cases, insoles, tire models, protective covers, and any application where a soft,
rubbery material is needed. TPE 83A is softer than TPU 95A and even more flexible than TPU 87A, providing
maximum elasticity for demanding applications.

  1. Direct Drive Required – TPE 83A cannot be printed on Bowden extruders.
  2. Dry Before Use – Dry at 55°C for 4+ hours; moisture causes bubbles.
  3. Very Slow Speed – Print at 15-30mm/s maximum; slower is better.
  4. Disable Retraction – Retraction causes jams; disable or use 0-1mm.
  5. Loose Filament Path – Ensure no friction in filament path to prevent bunching.
