Smith3D ships to all states in Peninsular Malaysia (West Malaysia) and East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak). We offer multiple shipping options — from same-day delivery in the Klang Valley to standard nationwide courier shipping, plus self-pickup from our Sungai Besi showroom.
1. Shipping Methods
1.1 — Same-Day Delivery (Klang Valley and Selected Areas)
For customers within the Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor), we can arrange same-day delivery via Lalamove or Grab Express. Same-day delivery may also be available to selected areas in Penang, Johor Bahru, and Malacca via Lalamove, subject to coverage.
How to arrange same-day delivery: Contact us via WhatsApp at 010-344 3128 to request same-day delivery. This option is not available at checkout — it is arranged directly with our team on a per-order basis.
- Orders confirmed and paid before 6:00 PM MYT on a business day can typically be dispatched the same day.
- Same-day delivery is ideal for urgent orders and heavy items like 3D printers, as Lalamove offers car, van, and pickup truck options.
- Delivery cost is calculated based on distance and vehicle type, and will be quoted when you contact us.
- You will receive real-time GPS tracking via the delivery partner’s app once your order is dispatched.
Note: Same-day delivery for orders placed through Shopee, Lazada, or TikTok Shop is subject to the respective platform’s logistics and fulfilment process, which may differ from the above.
1.2 — Standard Courier Shipping (Nationwide)
We ship via EasyParcel, which connects to Malaysia’s leading courier networks including J&T Express, PosLaju, DHL eCommerce, Ninja Van, GDEX, City-Link, Flash Express, and others. The courier is selected based on parcel weight, dimensions, destination, and cost-efficiency.
- A tracking number is provided via email and/or WhatsApp once your order is dispatched.
- All shipments are trackable through the courier’s website or EasyParcel’s tracking portal.
- For heavy and oversized items (3D printers weighing 15–30 kg), we prioritise couriers with higher weight limits such as J&T Express (up to 60 kg) to ensure safe handling.
1.3 — Self-Pickup at Sungai Besi Showroom
You may collect your order in person from our showroom:

How self-pickup works:
- Select “Self Pickup” at checkout or inform us via WhatsApp after placing your order.
- You will receive a notification (WhatsApp/email) when your order is ready for collection — please wait for this confirmation before visiting.
- Typical preparation time is within the same business day for in-stock items.
- Bring a valid photo ID (MyKad, passport, or driving licence) and your order confirmation (email, screenshot, or order number).
- You are welcome to unbox and inspect your product at our showroom before leaving. We encourage this for 3D printers and high-value items.
- Orders not collected within 7 calendar days of the ready notification may be cancelled at Smith3D’s discretion, with a refund issued minus any applicable processing fees.
2. Order Processing Time
- Orders are processed during business hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM MYT.
- Orders placed and paid before 2:00 PM MYT on a business day are typically dispatched via courier the same day (subject to stock availability and payment confirmation). For same-day Lalamove/Grab delivery, orders can be arranged up to 6:00 PM MYT — contact us via WhatsApp.
- Orders placed after 2:00 PM, or on Sundays and public holidays, are processed on the next business day.
- Pre-order and backorder items have estimated availability dates shown on the product page. However, these dates are provided by the manufacturer/supplier and are not guaranteed. Pre-order items may arrive later than the estimated date due to supplier production delays, shipping disruptions, customs holdups, or stock allocation changes that are beyond Smith3D’s control. We will keep you updated on the status of your pre-order. If there is a significant delay, you will be notified and given the option to continue waiting or receive a full refund.
- During major sales events (e.g., 11.11, 12.12, Chinese New Year), processing times may be extended by 1–2 business days due to higher order volumes.
3. Estimated Delivery Times
Delivery times below are estimates from the date of dispatch, not the date of order placement. Actual delivery may vary depending on courier performance, weather, public holidays, and destination accessibility.
Note on 3D printers and large items: Machines and heavy items require additional preparation and packing time, and couriers typically handle oversized parcels through a separate logistics channel that is slower than standard parcels. Please expect an additional 1–2 business days for both processing and delivery of 3D printers and large accessories, even within Peninsular Malaysia.

East Malaysia Shipping — Air Freight vs Sea Freight
Shipments to Sabah and Sarawak must cross the South China Sea, which means longer transit times and higher costs compared to Peninsular Malaysia. We offer two options:
Air freight (via courier): This is the default method for most East Malaysia orders. Parcels are shipped via our standard courier partners (J&T Express, PosLaju, DHL eCommerce, etc.) through EasyParcel. These couriers use air freight between Peninsular and East Malaysia. Delivery typically takes 5–10 business days to major towns (Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Sandakan, Tawau) and 10–14 business days for rural or remote areas. Delivery times may be longer during monsoon season (November–February), peak holiday periods, or due to airline schedule disruptions.
Sea freight (LCL — Less than Container Load): For heavy or oversized items such as 3D printers where air freight costs are prohibitive, sea freight is available as a more economical option. Sea freight from Port Klang to East Malaysia ports (Kota Kinabalu, Kuching) takes approximately 3–4 days port-to-port, but the total door-to-door delivery time — including warehouse consolidation, customs clearance (K3 declaration), and last-mile delivery — is typically 3–4 weeks, and may take up to 1 month. Sea freight is arranged on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us via WhatsApp to discuss this option.
Important notes for East Malaysia shipping:
- Certain couriers have weight and dimension restrictions for East Malaysia air freight. For heavy items (15–30 kg), we select couriers that can accommodate the weight or recommend sea freight as an alternative.
- A customs declaration (K3) is required for goods shipped between West and East Malaysia. This is handled by the courier or freight agent — no action is needed from the customer.
- Remote area surcharges may apply for deliveries outside major towns.
- Sea freight shipments may be affected by vessel schedules, port congestion, and monsoon weather conditions.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the total weight and dimensions of your order, the delivery destination, and the selected shipping method.
- Standard courier: Rates vary by courier, weight, and destination. EasyParcel rates are typically lower than retail courier rates.
- Same-day delivery (Lalamove/Grab): Rates are distance-based and vehicle-dependent. Quoted at checkout or upon request.
- Self-pickup: Free of charge.
- East Malaysia shipments (air freight) incur higher shipping costs due to air freight surcharges, particularly for heavy or oversized items. Remote area surcharges may also apply.
- East Malaysia shipments (sea freight) are more economical for heavy items but have significantly longer transit times. Sea freight pricing is quoted on a case-by-case basis — contact us via WhatsApp for a quote.
- Free shipping promotions: Smith3D occasionally offers free or subsidised shipping during promotional periods. Terms and minimum order amounts will be stated at the time of the promotion.
- Heavy and oversized items: 3D printers and large accessories may incur additional handling or surcharge fees from couriers due to weight and dimensions. These are reflected in the shipping cost at checkout.
5. Order Tracking
- Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email and/or WhatsApp.
- Track your shipment directly via the courier’s website or EasyParcel’s tracking page.
- If your tracking status has not updated for more than 3 business days (Peninsular) or 7 business days (East Malaysia via air freight), please contact us and we will investigate with the courier on your behalf. For East Malaysia sea freight shipments, please allow the full estimated transit period before contacting us — we will provide periodic updates where available.
- Smith3D is not responsible for courier delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather disruptions, movement control orders, peak season congestion, or courier operational issues.
6. Failed and Missed Deliveries
- If a delivery is attempted but unsuccessful (recipient not available, incorrect address, premises inaccessible), the courier will typically attempt one additional delivery or hold the parcel at a nearby depot or collection point.
- Parcels returned to Smith3D due to an incorrect address provided by the customer will incur a re-shipping fee at the customer’s expense.
- Parcels returned due to unclaimed delivery (customer failed to collect from the depot within the courier’s holding period) will also incur a re-shipping fee.
- If a parcel is returned to us and the customer does not respond to our re-delivery attempts within 14 calendar days, Smith3D may issue a refund less the original and return shipping costs.
- Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate, including unit/floor number for apartments and condominiums, and that someone is available to receive the parcel during business hours.
7. Damaged in Transit
If your parcel arrives with visible damage to the contents (not just the outer shipping box):
- Document the damage immediately — take clear photographs of the shipping box (all sides), internal packaging, and the damaged product before discarding any packaging material.
- Report to Smith3D within 48 hours of delivery via WhatsApp or email, with your order number and photographs.
- Smith3D will file a claim with the courier and arrange a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
- Do not discard the packaging — the courier may require it for investigation.
- If possible, note the damage on the courier’s delivery receipt or delivery app at the time of receipt.
Shipping insurance is arranged by Smith3D for high-value shipments. For all other shipments, standard courier liability applies. We recommend inspecting parcels promptly upon delivery.
8. International Shipping
Smith3D currently ships only within Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak). We do not offer international shipping at this time.
If you are located outside Malaysia and wish to purchase from Smith3D, you may use a third-party freight forwarder with a Malaysian delivery address. Smith3D is not responsible for any issues arising from the use of freight forwarding services, including customs duties, import taxes, or delays.
