It started with a single 3D printer and a lot of frustration. In 2019, we bought our first printer and quickly discovered that finding quality parts, reliable filament, and local support in Malaysia was nearly impossible. That frustration became our mission: to build the 3D printing experience we wished we had.

2019
The Spark
Bought our first 3D printer and discovered firsthand the lack of quality parts and local support in Malaysia. The idea for Smith3D was born from that frustration.
2020
Smith3D Founded
Officially incorporated as Smith3D Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur. Began selling 3D printers, filaments, and spare parts with a focus on reliable local support.
2021
Firmware Innovation
Published one of the earliest custom Marlin firmware forks with BL-Touch features for the Creality Ender 3 V2, earning recognition in the maker community on GitHub.
2022
Official Partnerships
Secured authorized dealer status with Creality, Elegoo, and Anycubic. Expanded our product range to become Malaysia’s most comprehensive 3D printing store.
2023
Bambu Lab Partner
